Capoeira Angola Hawaii FICA ICAF

The International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF in English – FICA in Portuguese) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to the practice, preservation and growth of the African Brazilian cultural art form Capoeira Angola, as well as the promotion of activities that empower and enrich commuities and their youth. The FICA Hawai’i Group has been training in Hawai’i on the east side of the Island, (also called the Big Island) in Hilo town and Pahoa since the beginning of 2005, when Trenel Joe, a student of Mestre Jurandir and Mestre Silvinho, started coordinating trainings and events. Classes are facilitated by Trenel Joe Hoffman.
